How It Works
Home-delivered meals include a delicious, hot meal for supper and a cold lunch, delivered to your doorstep. Our meals are freshly-prepared each day and include tasty and nutritious food options that are sure to please even the most discerning pallate. Once you've had a chance to choose your meals from our array of menu options, the team at Norwood Seniors Network will do the rest. Rest assured, your meal will be brought to your home, condo, or apartment between 11am and 1pm on each day you've elected to receive service.
There's no tax, tipping, or delivery charge...EVER!
Meals are delivered Monday through Friday between 11am and 1pm by our wonderfully dedicated volunteer delivery drivers. They'll make sure that your meal is hot and hand-delivered to you and will never leave it on the doorstep unless directed to do so. Once they arrive, you're free to accept the food and get them on their way. Or, if you're so inclined, stop and chat a bit and get to know the folks who do so much for seniors in our community.
Norwood Seniors Network is non-profit community outreach agency that has been caring for and serving seniors in their homes since 1994, allowing them to age with the dignity and independence they deserve. Our expertise and unwavering passion for elder care ensures that your loved one will receive nutritious meals and a little friendly attention, even when you can't be there.
**UPDATE: MEALS DURING THE CRISIS** Our Home-Delivered Meals are prepared out of a kitchen that is monitored closely by Illinois Department of Public Health. All staff in the kitchen has doubled their efforts to maintain healthy workplace, requiring more frequent cleaning of work surfaces, changing out gloves repeatedly, wearing masks as well. Prior to entering the kitchen, staff are screened and monitored with health questions and temperature taking. Every precaution is used to maintain a safe environment. Our volunteers are equipped with gloves, masks and sanitizer. A wellness check is done, but volunteers are not going into the homes. We are practicing social distancing as much as we can, while delivering hundreds of meals a week. Our goal is as always to check on your loved one in a safe and healthy way. We also offer contact-less delivery upon request!
